School of Worship.

Dear family and friends,

As most of you know, the last three years of my life have been at times hectic, overwhelming and heartbreaking.  But, at the same time God has healed the brokenness of loss, shown me what it's like to live an abundant life and given me the chance to travel the world and help Him advance His Kingdom, and love on the lost and the destitute.  In January 2010, I completed my DTS (Discipleship Training School) in Kona, Hawaii and then traveled to Brazil to finish the outreach phase.  Then in September 2010 I made my way back to Kona to study christian counseling and put into practice what I learned all the way over in China.  This journey has been long, but it doesn't end there.  While I was in China God began to speak to me about worship.  I knew I always had a heart for worship and singing, but what I didn't know was that God was wanting to call me into a deeper place of adoration and reverence to Him.  He was wanting to show me that worship isn't just about music and lyrics to songs.  Without His presence and without a relationship with Him, all those worship songs we sing are just noise and insignificant words.  He was wanting to reveal to me that worship takes place in the heart.  It's a position or a posture, it's talking to Him, it's reciting our favorite bible verse, it's playing an instrument even if we don't know how, and it's being thankful despite our circumstances.

So, long story short.  After coming home from China, I knew God wanted to radically change my life concerning worship.  I began to pray that He would reveal His plan for me and faithfully, He did.  One day, during my quiet time, I felt Him urging me to get on the YWAM Kona website.  The first advertisement that popped up said "Elevate School of Worship".  Right away I knew God was leading me to apply for this school.

A month later I was accepted and now I'm in the process of waiting until the school starts on September 29th.  This school is going to train me to be a worship leader and help me be a person whose lifestyle is centered on God's presence.  During the lecture phase of this school they will be teaching on topics like: the character and lifestyle of a worshiper, the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the supernatural, and worship leading and team work.  After lecture phase I will have the opportunity to travel to another country and serve the people of that nation by conducting worship seminars and teaching, and leading worship in churches.

This is where I need your help!  As you know, we as followers of Jesus have an enemy that is ruling this world right now.  I'm asking you as the body of Christ to surround me with your prayers.  I believe each one of your prayers will be effective and will impact me greatly.  We are in a battle and I'm going in on the front lines, will you help me fight?  Intercessors are just as important, maybe even more important than those actually being sent.  I also ask that you would pray and ask God if He would have you support me financially.  God is a BIG God and I know He will support me.  He may want to use people like you!  All I am asking is that you would pray and seek God's wisdom and guidance concerning my financial support.

I would love to partner with you to serve our loving Father.  Thank you for taking the time to read this and for being a blessing in my life.
